The U.S. Currency social media sites are an interagency effort between the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (Federal Reserve Board), the U.S. Secret Service and the Treasury Department’s Bureau of Engraving and Printing. U.S. Currency sites are maintained by the Federal Reserve Board. Neither Facebook nor Twitter will be used to announce any Federal Reserve Board, U.S. Secret Service or Bureau of Engraving and Printing news that is not public information and does not also appear on these agencies’ official websites. Therefore, any information posted on Facebook or Twitter should be verified at uscurrency.gov, or by contacting the U.S. Currency Education Program.
While we encourage users to share the U.S. Currency newsfeed on our social network sites, retweets (RTs) and sharing of U.S. Currency newsfeeds by other Twitter and Facebook users do not constitute endorsement by the Federal Reserve Board or the other U.S. government agencies.
